Overview
MyCourses is a learning platform at RIT designed to help students and faculty manage course materials and assignments. However, the platform struggles to support the needs of team-based assignments, lacking essential tools for organizing and coordinating various aspects of group projects effectively.
The goal of this project is to design the platform in a playful style as well as enhancing the platform by introducing features that streamline team organization and simplify group project management.
Problem
MyCourses lacks dedicated collaboration and team organization tools, making it difficult for students to effectively manage, find course materials and complete group projects within the platform.
User Research
I conducted quantitative survey among students to better understand their issues and struggles while using Mycourses and I have concluded the following discoveries.

of students rely on themselves to stay updated, suggesting that Mycourses fall short in effectively sending notifications about updates
Based on the user research, I have concluded that students find it challenging to use Mycourses while collaborating on group assignments.
HOW MIGHT WE redesign Mycourses with tools that centeralize group communication and task management?
Solution
The solution is to redesign Mycourses homepage that prioritize tasks and group assignments with tools making it easier to upload assignments, resource sharing, for students to organize and coordinate team assignments.
